Roland Staudinger joined the VAMED group in 2011 and in his current position is Executive Vice President for international Hospital Management and Development and responsible for CEE, South East Asia, China and AustraliaPacific. Within the VAMED group he was for six years Managing director of the Mediterra hospital group in the Czech Republic (seven hospitals) and resposible for the successfull market entry of VAMED in the United Kingdom in the field of rehabilitation medicine. From 1990 till 2005 he was the Managing Director and CEO of the Tyrolean hospital group in Austria (seven hospitals including the University Clinic of Innsbruck, app. 3000 beds in total), also in charge for the new business development in the field of health care industries for the government of Tyrol, Austria. During this period he was responisble for the estimation of 22 new companies and international joint ventures in biochemistry, medical informatics and technology and clinical research. After a two years period as Vice Rector of the Medical University of Innsbruck, Austria, responsible for clinical affairs and development, he was Head of the department of health care industries and Dean of the health management science faculty of the University of Medical Informatics and Technology in Tyrol, this University is owned by the country of Tyrol and is acting in a strong partnership with the state University of Innsbruck.During this time he lead a number of international scientific and economic health care projects, focused on USA partnerships and projects.
