Marcelo do Ó is a Managing Director and Partner in L.E.K. Consulting with more than 25 years of experience in both the pharmaceutical and life sciences industries and in management consulting. With deep expertise in Brazilian pharmaceutical market, having spent eight years with Novo Nordisk, where was general manager of Brazil, operations director for Latin America and head of emerging markets strategy. He also served as Brazil president for Sandoz where was responsible for all lines including oncology, biologics, prescription and generics. Before that, Marcelo worked at Accenture, McKinsey & Company and Monitor Group. He directed more than one hundred strategy and operational improvement projects for biopharma, heath providers and other companies. He also conducted strategic and commercial due diligence for private equity clients. Marcelo earned B.S. degree in Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering from Pontfícia Universidade Católica in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He also holds an MBA with distiction from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.
